Joe is a 7 month old male English Cocker Spaniel cross Poodle. I’m Joe, I am needing a very special home to train and support my development into a well adjusted adult dog. Joe will require a more experienced, adult only home able to provide ongoing commitment to training and support. Ideally he needs someone who has experience of training and behaviour work relating to dogs with more complex behaviour problems. He will require a high level of physical and mental activity once mature so will need a home that suits this. He is high energy and excitable, if his needs for mental and physical stimulation are not met then he will become frustrated, which would build up more problems. Once physically mature he would enjoy agility, fly-ball and scent work type activities for extra physical and mental stimulation. At this stage Joe would be looking for a home where he is the only dog in residence, and no cats, as some of his problems relate to sharing resources and space.
Joe is smart and inquisitive however, despite being a puppy, Joe’s early life experiences have left him with more challenging behaviours and he needs guidance to learn appropriate behaviour. I am being rehomed through the Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in Sussex – they tend to rehome to Sussex and the neighbouring counties only.
