Freya is an 18-24 month old female Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel. Freya came to us via a lovely couple who saw her plight and wanted to help her, she is a beautiful girl who arrived crawling with fleas and approximately 6kg underweight. Despite having had what we can only surmise as not the greatest of lives, she is an adorable girl who loves life and cannot believe her luck currently.
She is not used to living in the home but is adapting well, the odd accident may be expected initially as she settles. Freya is a very smart cookie and we cannot imagine she will have any problems with toilet training. She loves the company of other dogs and has worn herself out playing and enjoying her new found freedom. Frey took little notice of the cats but any in the resident home would need to be bold and dog savvy.
Freya walks okay on lead, we suspect its still quite new to her so she does pull initially, again minor training will resolve this and regular exercise will also help. She traveled well in the car and was clean and quiet (crated).
As we have a very limited history for Freya we cannot re home her with young children, she is great with other dogs and would like new owners who are around for a good part of the day. She has missed a lot already in her short life and we would like her new owners to be able to commit to spending time with her and training her a little further.
Freya is too underweight to spay at the moment, we will neuter her as soon as her weight improves. If the right home comes in before she is ready to be spayed we may re home on a neutering contract (she would need to be brought to our vets to be neutered as soon as her weight is stabilised, we will cover the cost of her spay). She has been vaccinated, micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Freya is currently being fostered in Pett, near Hastings East Sussex.
