Charlie is a 1 year old male English Springer Spaniel cross English Cocker Spaniel. Charlie needs to find a family who can help him catch up and develop skills and settle his excitement meeting dogs outside. Potential family should be up for a ‘puppy dog’ and need to attend a training course to instil discipline, voice commands and improve their confidence and skill base as he is behind their milestones ref their physical chronological age. Charlie needs to live with at least one other dog. Charlie could live with older dog savvy children or younger visiting children. Owners should be aware of breed type, so support his understanding.

Charlie (and Boe) became stray as a consequence to a car accident. Their owner was hospitalised but on discharge, despite having 2 police visits, did not reclaim them from the pound. Both came to our Rescue 10.2.15, we neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated them. They were briefly homed and return to us due to obvious skill deficit. Charlie and Boe are now emotionally independent so Boe returned to the family who attempted them both. Charlie is in kennels in Broxbourne.

Brothers in need. Brothers in deed. Charlie and Boe are friendly, energetic and keen to please. They are true to breed type; enthusiasm is their code, their raison d’etre. There are nerves which manifests in Charlie with barking when out as he tries to acclimatize to share territory and grasp what is expected from him in the huge arena. Boe is more nervous within close up encounters and tried to warn off dogs in the pack initially hiding behind the kennel owners legs, but was flowing with the pack the next day. They share their kennel with a terrier and are mixed into the kennel pack and gaining confidence.

Charlie has the whiter muzzle and slight build: They are litter brothers both born May 14. We think Sprocker but they could be Sprollies. Yes they were both naive, and inept on arrival but emotionally matured to become emotionally independent of one another. Charlie now up for homing as a single dog but to join an established accomplished dog. We are looking to find a caring home who can focus in and gradually allow to develop confidence walking in public and relate to approaching dogs in a mature way.
